A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin creamy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light treacle, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy British hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. Cask at The Gate Clock (Wetherspoons)

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a rich ruby with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma has autumn fruits and malts. In the mouth it is sweet with an underlying fruitiness, freshly sliced apples, raisins, some caramel and hints of spices. Texture is a little watery. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. Not bad at all.

Thanks Simon. Fantastic malty caramel. Very dry bitter with a great mild roasted back. Dry bitter Ale with great caramelly roasted complex full body, fantastic balanced with a slightly hazelnut-sweetish back. Great stuff! Dry caramelly bitter in the end.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear chestnut colour with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, doughy bread, toasted malts and peppery spice. Taste is more toffee and caramel, fruity jam, doughy bread, toasty malts, more peppery spice and some tea. Malty with a lingering earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Full body, average carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Very good beer. Enjoyed.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear light golden colour with a 2 finger fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus, floral and some doughy white bread. Taste has elderflower, citrusy lemon, lots more doughy white bread and also peppery spice on the finish. A subtle amount of lemon pith also on the hoppy finish. Medium body with fairly low carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice crisp refreshing and flavoursome beer. Good one.
