Description
Cairngorm Brewery Company is a craft brewery established in 2001, situated in the village of Aviemore within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland.
We currently have a 20 barrel Brewhouse, capable of producing 6500 litres of the finest ale each day. With a full range of permanent and seasonal cask beers to suit all tastes, many of them available throughout the year in 500ml and 330ml bottles.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ Bonnie Prince. Clear orange amber, creamy white head. Nose is butter, apple, green. Taste is butter apple, grainy oily unpleasant spoiled apple, butter, industrial, grain, oily,⌠Rubbish.

Cask @ MBar (Dowans Hotel & Restaurant), Aberlour. Golden, clear, white foam. Aroma: fruit, malt, honey, flowers (elder). Taste: slightly carbonated, malt, light fruitiness, a bit of citrus, light earthiness, elderberry, rather an amateur.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - a lovely autumnal red going into brown. Neat creamy head. Nose - toffee, shortbread and molasses. Taste - toffee apple and molasses. Palate - creamy and crunchy texture. Medium bodied. Overall - lovely stuff.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours dark red brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of dark toffee, chocolate. Taste is malt loaf, raisins and toffee. Warming and roasty. Decent.

Cask at Winking Owl, stable creamy head, opaque black color, aroma of coffee, chocolate and some roasty notes, flavor of chocolate, coffee, metal and an empathic roasty bitterness. Really nice and highly enjoyable.

Cask at Winking Owl, smallish creamy head, clear copper color, caramel aroma with some bread, flavor of caramel and some dark fruits, empathic medium bitterness. Nice and simple.

Cask at Winking owl, smallish creamy head, clear gold colour, aroma of mineral and almond with a verly light breadiness, flavor of light bread, flowers, almond and a mellow herbal bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.

Cask at GBBF 2018. It pours clear deep brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, toffee, caramel, toasted nut, earth and leather. The taste is dry, bitter, chewy, brown, bread, sticky, oily, toasted sesame, wood, leather, spice, grass and alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Oily and chewy. Decent stuff.

Half pour (cask) at the Briar Rose. Dark brown, light coming through, small skin of head. Light roasty aroma, tadte too. Lighter than the norm for a stout, almost porter. Cask makes for a nice feel.
