Cliche, but this was fantastic when it came out and is a shadow of its old self now. Rated from tap at Troll Fest. Lemony, oily, pine sol hop tones. Thick caramel balance. Not anything I want in the style. Antiquated, not good.

Can, pours a cloudy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a decent mix of dank hops and Belgian yeast. Flavour is similar, with Belgian yeast, dank hops, and earthy dryness. Not overly complex but it works decently enough. Okay.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is a nice fresh pine hops with some sweet caramel malt sweetness. I can already see where this one is going. Flavor is not as malt I as I was thinking it would be. Still Hops are here with a very minor presence. More sweet malt is felt after the swallow. I think I am officially IPA burnt out. I can barley get a hop presence from the recent beers Iβve had. Way more malt is showing up in these beers.

Bottle: Deep brown with a small beige head. Caramel, berry, dark fruit aroma. Taste is slightly smoky plum, caramel malt, red apple-peel, cherry malt. Mild alcohol warmth and a slight peppery spice.... Really great...complex and vibrant flavours.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, and malt. Sweet flavor, dried fruit, more caramel, and some wood here. Good, full palate, and a sweet aftertaste. This was surprisingly good, probably the best Ale Asylum beer I have tasted.
