Reviewed from notes. Another Wisconsin finding.
Sixer acquired and was poured into a pint glass every time.
The appearance was a nice hazy orange to amber color with a decent transparency about it that let carbonation be seen rising. There was a one finger white foamy head that dissipated and left some light lacing here and there.
The smell had a nice earthy herbal yet bitter hoppiness running in and out but combined.
The taste was bittersweet all the way through with a nice herbal/earthy light citrusy aftertaste. The finish was somewhat dry.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there too as there was a decent harshness about it but nothing overbearing.
Overall, I say this was a very nice APA well worthy of having again.

Tap at Ale Asylum. Unfiltered dulled grey orange-tan body. Steady, thick creamy off-white head. Rich and yeasty. Zesty citrus rind hop flavor. Fresh, big, bold a really nice IPA. Resinous finish, this is a big beer. Strawy, bitter amarillo(?) hop flavor. Lots of depth. Well done.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut, medium tan head, dissipates quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, just a touch of smoke, nutty, burned caramel, pumpernickel. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, minimal bitterness, nutty and bready, light roast. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel.

(Thanks Chris "Budznsudz") Bottle. A- Caramel, bread, biscuits, sweet, fruits, flowers. A- Dark orange color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, bread, citrus, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bready finish. O- Lots of caramel and bread and very little bitterness at all. I’m guessing the year or so of age on here lead to this, but still a very impressive IPA. The citrus was pretty minimal but still there. I love Citra hops as well as Belgian Trappist yeast strains to this was a superb combination for me. I’d love to try some of this fresh.

(Thanks Chris "Budznsudz") Bottle. A- Bread, sweet rolls, citrus. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, hops, slightly bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Not as abrasive as I was expecting. Nice citrus aromas and flavors. A good IPA that had about a year of age on it. Bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a big off white head. Aromas (and taste) is dominated by sweet caramel malt. Lacking of citrus or pine. Too malty for me.

Draft. Amber body. Frothy off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, alcohol, toasted grain, tangerine, citrus, pineapple. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Hop-forward flavor. Leafy, raw hop flavor is sweet malt backbone. A sweeter than usual ipa.

Tiefschwarze Farbe mit beigem Schaum. Sehr toller caramelmalziger Schoko-Espresso-Geruch.
Schade.

Tap at Ale Asylum. Deep unfiltered brown-red...quite thick and opaque. Frothy, soapy beige head. Mild chocolate and amber malt tones coupled with a steady, delicate, citrus feel. Really nice deep Amber beer. Fresh, pleasant. Not bitter, the hops add a flowery, tropical touch. A well done beer for sure.
