Bottle. A lightly hazy golden-orange colored beer with a small, dense white head. The aroma is rather malty, grainy, with orange and pine cone notes. Medium body and a soft carbonation, semi sweet. Orange zest, some pine cones and a little bitterness in the flavor, and a malty back. Cellar notes in the finish. Sort of refreshing this one, but not very interesting. 160804

Bottle. An unclear amber colored beer with a dense finger thick beige head. Rather toffeeish, malty aroma, close to butterscotch. Some fruityness too. It’s rather malty in the mouth too, lightly fruity, and with some bitter hints. Full body and a soft carbonation. Lasting malty finish. Too much on the malty side this one, toffee-ish in a way, but far from an interesting way. 160804

[ As Frejdahl Roulv (Port Barrel Aged) ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, dark malt, earthy, wood, smoke. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, roasted, smoked, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160519]

Biggish beige head. Nearly opaque black body shows traces of deep dark red. Smoky raisiny tobacco aroma with minty licorice notes. Sweetish smoky roasty taste with mealy chocolatey notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Sweetish nutty smoky raisiny aftertaste with honey, dried fruits, and earth notes. Minty smoky mealy finish lingering. A very good beer. Complex, full of flavour, yet harmonic. Notes in here remind me of the hop notes in the very best Bavarian lagers. (0.75l bottle, from Føtex Frederikshavn.)

50 cl bottle from a Netto discounter. Cloudy amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, spiced rye malts, fruits and faint liquorice. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a thin to creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and fruity-spicy with caramel malts. Not for my likings. Lacks direction.

Draught at KØ16. Dusty and bready aroma. Almost black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is vinous and quite citric. Has a little smoke in the finish. Sweetish with a good booze note.
