Cask at the Court House, Dudley. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is buttery caramel citrus. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a light ginger, tropical fruit, light spice palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Took a while to grow on me.

330ml bottle, gift from my wife - cheers! Pours a chestnut colour with a yellow head that rapidly vanishes. Lovely rich vinous aroma fails to carry into the flavour. On drinking it’s sweet with caramel up front, followed by some limestone and then a dry finish with white pepper, coriander seed and a little wood. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t live up to it’s early promise.

Bottle at a ChrisO tasting, London. Pours clear brown with a frothy, off-white head. Toasty bread aroma. Medium sweet flavor with lots of toasted brown bread, light brown sugar and caramel. Light to medium boided with average carbonation. Toasted sugar finish, more light caramel and brown bread, faint cocoa. Solid dark lager.

Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2012, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Unclear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, moderate peach, passion fruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120118]
