We are committed to doing our part for the environment at the brewery. Our used malt goes to some local farms for use in agriculture. We also use our spent hops for composting, which helps enrich our small garden, where we attempt to grow some classic British hop varieties such as Fuggle and Target.
Closed because of retirement.

Cask at GBBF '18, day 4, 10/08/18. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric pith, melon, light breads. Taste comprises tangerine, lemon rind, toasted grains, citric tinged straw, light breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Golden blonde ... maybe be deserves an upgrade to APA as a single hop number at 5%? Decent enough session gear.

The taste is dry, bitter, pink grapefruit upfront, zesty, pithy, peppery spice, straw, lemon rind, grassy and light herbal accents with a dry finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. A bit more vibrant and more citrus than the Belma I had just before. Decent enough.

Bottle from Great Grog. Gusher. Black body with a medium beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of charred wood, rusted metal and cranberry. Flavour of steel, sour red apple and white sugar. Thin body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Overly fizzy. Disappointingly sharp, thin and over-carbonated. Messy.

Rochdale Beer Festival 2017. Very dark ale. It has dominant chocolate orange flavours but it blurs the lines between porter and stout in this one.
