Brewery founded by Gary and Diane Oldershaw but under new ownership since 2010. Renamed to their current name in early 2020.

At Zest brewery we make an excellent range of beers brimming with quality, character and passion all infused with a touch of Planet Rock!

Zest Brewery has been borne from merging centuries’ old brewing techniques with progressive thinking to deliver a range of both traditional and innovative beers of outstanding quality in cask, bottle and canned format.

The lessons learnt from our Oldershaw Brewery roots are being used to continue to look after our local customers, to start our mobile bar business offering both static pop up bars of various sizes and also a converted horsebox bar – Bar Zest – and to broaden our bespoke bottling capability.

Beers are available to trade through direct delivery and wholesale distribution. Casks of beer are available for parties, weddings, corporate events and all celebrations.

Cask at the Alexandra Arms, Cambridge. Golden with some wispy white head. Decent aroma with some tangerine and cereal. Taste is bittersweet and has that Cascade punch, but this is met with a slightly sulphurous acidity near the finish. Drinkable but not perfect.

Bottle. Strongly coloured amber beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is lightly hopped and toffee, and the flavour is gently bitter with some toffee and hops. Overall a reasonable bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden beer with a white head. It’s entirely unremarkable but a thoroughly decent pint. A traditional golden ale. Some fruit and hop, would be a bit sickly if it wasn’t nicely chilled.
