On tap at Artistic Table. It pours a deep, rich golden orange color with a thick, foamy off white head. The aroma is huge with grapefruit and lighter notes of pine. The flavor is nice and clean with more grapefruit and pine along with a good amount of toasted malt, caramel and heavy floral/piney bitterness. Kind of an old school IPA, but well made.

Very nice looking beer, clear and nice carbonation. A little too bitter for an amber for my tastes, and slightly off here. But decent all around, nothing special. Tried again at Jaspers SF, similar impression, not very complex, however it was very cloudy this time.

Nrnberg red ale the can says. Nrnberg is in mittelfranken, not westfalia. Reddish-brown. Thin head. Aroma is nutty, toasty with some caramel balance and a touch if fruitiness. Quite appetizing. Has a sweet front with fruity and slightly caramel complexity. Full body and nice balance, very enjoyable, a superior amber-brown ale. Would like to know the back story, if there is one.
