5oz pour in The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano on 27th July 2023. Black bodied, tanned head, coffee nose and initial taste, some vanilla sweetness, but the Irish Whiskey barrel aging doesn't seem to come through too much. Enjoyed it , but wanted more 'boozy' esters and flavours.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy gold with a large foamy white head that did some lacing. Aroma of citrus - likely grapefruit. Med body. Flavor is passionfruit, arguably grapefruit, and some earthy aspects. Drier than expected. Moderately bitter. Decent, but the flavor is a bit mundane for a hazy. Not all that tropical/juicy.

Gold, gloppy malts, low bitterness. Just a standard golden ale, needs more hop to be a kolsch.
