Bottle: Poured a cloudy amber color bock with a medium size light brown foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of weird cereal and cookie dough with off grainy taste is also noticeable. Taste is a weird mix between some cereal and unsweetened cookie dough with somewhat of a grainy finish. Body is full with limited filtration and medium carbonation. I could not drink more then 25% of this beer as the weird cookie dough didn’t agree with me. I am wondering if this bottle was infected as this is not in-line with this brewer usual brewing standard.

A cognac like amber ale with no head. In aroma, sweet nutty malt with grassy hops. In mouth, a rather nutty malt with grassy hops, more like a nut brown.

Pretty decent for style. Pours dark amber with some head and lacing. Smells like candy malt and vodka alcohol, consistent with style. Leaves a little sweet and boozy. Carbonation a little below average. On tap at volos.

Single bottle from the LCBO. Pours a dark amber colour with a foamy, off-white head that fizzes away to leave no lacing at all. Barley malt nose that is quite grainy with cereal, but with a little fruitiness to it. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Starts off a bit sweet, but the cereals tone down things with a little hop in the finish. Notes of fruit and toffee. Quite drinkable for those who really like a good barley malt bite.

An orange amber IPA with a thick mocha head. In aroma, nice mix of mocha coffee with resinous hops, sweet milky tea, nice. In mouth, a nice grassy malt with roasted coffee notes, nutty and grassy hops, well made. On tap at Beer 4 Boobs, April 7 2013.

As usual, a decently quaffable product from Grand River. Pours clear maroon with awesome pillowy head and good lacing. Like a lingerie party with beer, and I’m invited! Aroma of malt and slight note of hops. Good low carbonation for style. Creamy consistency. Finishes with some caramel sweetness and a bit of boozy bitterness. Tap at The Only Cafe.

Aroma: Molasses, smoked bacon and smoked meat. Interesting mix between molasses and smoked aromas. There is also a bit of chocolate and coffee with slight ether notes. Appearance: Black, opaque, average size head color ’’café au lait’’, average lasting and lacing. Taste: Molasses hits first, with notes of coffee, smoke, wood and a solid roast bitterness as finish, lasting a very long time. Mouth feel is pleasant, round and full. A good mix of sweet and bitterness.

Aroma: Slight acidity was picked up first along with traditional cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, fruitcake and crystallized fruits. Not sticking out very strongly. Appearance: Orange. Looks like a pumpkin with a candle in it when looked through with light. Head looks good, creamy, generous with a nice lacing. Taste: Attack is soft with all traditional spices of a pumpkin ale. Slightly acid, texture is watery and missing a bit of spark. Very traditional pumpkin ale with flavors working hard to stick out, but half succeeded.
