Strong malt body with good taste. Minerals are much more present in the flavor and it takes on more of a nutty character

This stout poured a deep black colour with an almost non-existant head. even after a good vigorous pour. To the nose there are scents of molassass, caramel, alcohol, Melloids (English Cough Candies) and ripe fruit. First taste was somewhat weak and thin but still had quite a bit of flavour. Strong Meloid flavour with additional flavours of roasted malt, coffee and a little smoke. Finish is burnt and malty with a lingering palate of heavily roasted coffee.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle: Poured a light black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with hints of dry raisins. Taste is a balanced mix between some roasted malt with vinous notes and a dry raisin finish. Body is too thin for style with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not bad and interesting side of vinous/dry raisin notes but body is too thin for style.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with subtle grainy flavor. Taste is dryer then I had anticipated with good caramel malt and dry finish. Hops are not overly distinct and ester are somewhat lacking. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad overall but I would say that this was below average for this brewer.

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours deep amber brown with tan head. The aroma has maple syrup soaked prunes and caramel as well as dates and cherries all mixing together with a thick layer of earthiness. The taste begins with chocolate, malts, roasty malts, a bit of burnt malts and then bleeding into some dark fruitiness like dark grapes and ripe plums. As the flavor progresses a reassuring and pleasing thicket of earthiness surfaces and gracefully takes the experience into the finish.
