Bottle at Sunday Times Wine Festival, London. On the bumpf this was down as a "semi-dark beer". Not sure what that means. Looked and tasted like a Vienna to me. However, I liked it. Dark caramel/red colour with beige head. Toffee/caramel aroma. Fine in mouth, more caramel, finish is a bit sweet. Not too much hop. Good caramel/malt beer.

Bottle at Sunday Times Wine Festival, London. Deep gold, sparse white head. Creamier than the premium beer, alcohol makes it thicker, good malt. Smooth in mouth. Good strong European lager. Finish has some sweet lemon dryness.

Bottle at Sunday Times Wine Festival, London. Thanks to the guy behind the stand for all of his help with these beers. Golden beer with thin white head. Nice hop aroma, mouth has good cereal, hoppy bite on finish. Quite a good premium golden lager

Light gold color. Large, thin head that fades and leaves a lace. Light herbal hop aroma. Flavor has some very light metal that isn’t bad. Refreshing and crisp. One of the most heavily hopped Czech eers I have found. Aftertaste of bread. Canned.

Little head over fully clear gold. Banana ester, pale malts, straw & chaff in the nose. Superb dry pale malts and grist taste, great. Light, appropriate MF. Very good dry pilsener, but not very hoppy.

Bottle - thank you Dortmunder!
Attractive dark crimson colour, creamy brown head. Sirupy and honeyish aroma - has a bit of mead in there. Very sweet base flavour, sugar, honey, caramel, but also sweet fruits, a light herbal edge. Fat sirupy mouthfeel, sweet aftertaste. Too sweet as it is, but probably a good desert beer - I wonder how it would develop after cellaring it a couple of years.

Bottle: Dark yellow colour, fluffy, medium sized head, quickly diminishing; shy herbal hoppy nose, some caramel and "a taste of honey";smooth, sweet malty flavour becoming dry and bitter to the end; warming; not my favourite, but all in all not so bad......
