Once again, another beer I thought I rated before. Hold on there, it didn't happen. I have a 12 oz bottle bought at a supermarket not far away. Drinking out of a glass from Cowtown, I uncap the bottle and pour. A medium gold color with a steadily replenished skim of snow white foam. The scent carries lots of grain and malt. The taste is better than I remember and also improves on the average for the style. Malt, grain certainly, citrus, straw and more sweetness than the usual pale lager. Nice beer to drink after a substantial walk on an unseasonably warm afternoon.

Brewed in Germany, quick rate. appearance - beer-specific bottle cap and label, like it taste - thin, hops, bitter tones, citrus, some sweetness, some non-alco tones. somewhat meh.

Krystallklar golden med boblete, høy hvit topp som daler raskt. Aroma; malt, høy. Smak; malt, humle, noe eple. Veldig svak smak. Utvannet, svak, kort. Delt med Leif.

Spring Valley Winter Brownie 7% The name had me expecting something darker, I suspect it isn’t brewed on site anymore. The spicy aroma and reddish gold color with a thick creamy light beige head of foam has me thinking Weizenbock. Medium bodied with round carbonation and sweet spices plus mild malt notes. I feel it matches winter but there’s nothing brownie about this. Well balanced, it is kind of a simple beer but pretty satisfying and better than many of Spring Valley’s brews. Apparently, this IS made at Spring Valley Kyoto and has coriander and lemon peel in it. I felt it was mild for a Weizenbock so I guess it is a hybrid kind of dark Belgian witbier? Whatever it is, I like it just fine.
