Bottle at restaurant, Bod. Pours a clear dark straw colour with a small, off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, grass, citrus and some cooked vegetables. The flavour is slightly sweet, light and dry with some grass, pale malt and hay. Has a light and watery mouth feel, and a light bitterness. An okay and light pale lager, nothing special.

Large 660ml bottle from local supermarket. Golden colour with white head. Aroma is grain. Flavour, well it’s a touch dull. Probably ok with a curry

50cl bottle. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles and not much head. Nose - pale malt and honey. Maybe some lemon. Taste - honey malt with a lemon finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a reasonable texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - couldn’t pick it out from a group of international mono lagers.

Keg. Appearance is golden and hazy, with a persistant half-finger head. Aromas of malt, cereal, and not a great deal else. Very smooth tasting, hardly any bitterness except in the finish, wheaty, cereally. Thin watery mouthfeel. Ok but nothing special.

Bottle at Craig’s. Clear golden yellow, thin white head. Aromas of cereal and grains. Taste is sweet, something herbal. Sticky finish. OK, inoffensive enough.

Bouteille 33cl at Indian restaurant in Bxls, nice with a Vindaloo lvl 3 curry.

Bottle at Balti Cuisine, Cardiff on 4 January 2014. Poured a slightly hazy yellow straw colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of bread dough, lemon zest and grassy hop. Mild citrus flavour with some bready malt and soft fruit. Pretty smooth beer; carbonation was gentle and natural, rather than the aggressive force carbonation of the regular Cobra and its ilk. Finish was yeasty with some pilsner malt and a mild metallic edge. Fairly drinkable, if not mind blowing and probably the best thing you’re likely to find in an Indian restaurant, beer-wise.

330ml bottle for low alcohol tasting night. Pale yellow, thick white. Smells like mash tun run off, or what your Dad’s beer smelt like when you were young. More maltesers on the taste. Sweet, thin. Passable.
