16 oz can from spikes. Pours out a dark Amber, mostly clear, small frothy head fades. Aroma and taste are straight-up malts, brown bread flavors, Touch of Carmel, slightly burnt. Finish is a bit dry, and overall comes off a bit weak.

Bomber from Perry's Liquors in Livermore, CA. Pours translucent dark copperwith a beige head. Aroma is citrus - going for grapefruit. Med + body. Flavor is somewhat roasty malt with grapefruit heading towards zest. Not really dry, but hoppy and bitter. Think there's a hop bite - not a heat burn. My mouth is getting prickly from this. Pretty good stuff.

Bomber from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a huge dark tan head that seemed foamy, but settled into something more like creamy. Aroma is chocolate and smooth dark malt. It’s almost like there’s a bourbon note. Very, very full in body. Flavor is dark earthy chocolate, something suggesting anise, and a very dark malt. It starts malty and ends up dry. It is bitter like dark chocolate, and the “anise” note helps that along. This is really, really tasty ale.

Can from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours dark brown with a foamy light tan head. Aroma has a lot of toasted coconut and chocolate. Nearing full bodied. Flavor is something like a Mounds bar. Toasted coconut covered with chocolate. Not dry, but far from sticky. Somehow there's just a hint of bitterness - maybe from the chocolate. Quite tasty.
