Bottle conditioned as Yorkshire Bitter 0,5l bought at Tesco Kensington Feb 08. Brown colored. No head. Some sweet fruity aroma. Pleasant fruity flavor. Aftertaste of apricot.

Bottle conditioned from M&S. Overly lively pour - a quarter of the bottle was lost. Haxzy, dark amber colour with a massive frothy, off-white head. caramel malt and earthy hop aroma. Flavour was nutty with a dry hop finish. Ok.

Bottle (as Yorkshire Bitter, M&S): Hazy, deep amber coloured, mid-sized lasting rocky "dirty" head; toasted malty, fruity and slightly sourish nose with some traces of hops; sweetish-bitter flavour with a light acidity, light bodied; sourish-yeasty and bitter finish. Not great.......

[i] Bottle from M+S [/i] I hadn’t rated this at the time I picked it up a couple of weeks ago as I assumed that it was an alias of the Cropton Yorkshire Moors bitter see M+S thread on the forums. Poured amber with beige head, initial thoughts not great aroma sour, tainted, this came across in the taste as well just not my thing at all. It really seems like I was tasting a different beer entirely from the last two raters.

October 04 picked up a bottle from the New Inn pub close to the brewery, also have picked up a bottle since. Dark red in appearance, good level of bitterness, nice hoppy and fruity flavours come through pretty good.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty dark fruit aroma. Dry roasted malty dark fruit flavor. Long malty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Cask-GBBF. Dark brown with a small head. Toffee, chocolate, licorice aroma. Rich and sweet flavour, toffee, caramel and roast notes.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, english licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy / oily, carbonation is flat.

Cask@GBBF2007. Dark amber colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, ryebread and some woodenness. Flavour is fruits, slight honey, some wood and a bit of grass and ryebread.
