Cask@The Rake, London. Golden colour, minor head. Aroma is eggy, malty, hoppy and earthy. Flavour is very much the same, with focus on the eggyness.

500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. ABV is 4.2%. Bottle conditioned. Black colour, huge tan head. Moderate aroma with some fruitiness and notes of mild coffee, hints of chocolate. Acidic / sour flavour, very strange for a stout, some coffee roastiness in the background. Did not do much for me this one. Disappointing.

Medium grayish brown head. Opaque black body goes dark red at the edges. Milky, sooty aroma. Thin, acidic sooty taste with traces of wild berries and cocoa. Watery mouthfeel. Dry cocoa aftertaste. Too acidic and watery. Probably be better if brewed with more alcohol. (0.5l bottle.)

Pours dark amber into an English pint. Off-white micro head with excellent retention keep a steady head. Sour fruit and malt aromas. Tastes like it smells...sour apple upfront with a lasting sour/hop finish.

Cask conditioned at the Knights Templar JDW, Bristol December 2006. A reddish beer with little head. The aroma combined fruity malt with a whiff of citrus. Flavour-wise, it began with red fruit and ended with pleasant hoppy dryness. Well-balanced and enjoyable.

Cask at The Anchor Inn, Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire. An inviting dark ruby colour with a beige head; warm fruit and caramel flavours, but slightly dry at the same time; smooth and easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a fast disappearing white head. Fruity slightly yeasty malty aroma with some weak hints of honey. Fruity malty citrus aroma with some tart hints and also some hints of honey. Fruity malty finish with some weak honey in the aftertaste.

Cask at the Market Porter in Southwark. Fruity aroma with malt lurking beneath. Dark amber color with white head. Sweetish stone fruit start, balanced with bitter hop in the fiish. Quite a flavorful ale.
