Handpull from the Flying Pig, Cambridge. Murky and impenetrable yellow-orange. Tannic, woody aroma with suggestions of cider vinegar. Taste is sour, tangy and intense. Finishes acrid to the point of biliousness. Swallowing is like trying to down turpentine. Its been too long since I lived in the Westcountry but I think this would be unnecessarily rough by anyoneโ€™s standards.

Draught at Fat Cat, Norwich. It pours hazy straw yellow with no head. The aroma is sweet - sour, earthy, funky, lots of vanilla, apple pie & vanilla custard and creme brulee. The taste is rich, sweet - sour, dry, tangy fruits, gooseberry, apple skin, white great, vanilla, tart tatin, custard, tannins and oak with drying finish. Medium body and limited carbonation. Dry, tart, fruity and funky. Has a good depth of flavour. Quality.

On cask @ Craft Beer & Co Clerkenwell. Cloudy looking one, kinda golden yellow in looks with a tiny cask bubbly white foamy film on the top. It smells of sweet apples, lots of wood. Woody vanilla and it kinda smells dusty and tart all in once. It's more sour and wood oriented in the taste. Green small fresh apples, wood. Sweeter towards the finish. Not bad. 15.08.2015

On cask at The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted. Smooth fruity beginning. Easy to drink, fresh with herbal hints. Cinnamon, round and fresh apples. Nice woody hints. Long spicy fruity smooth aftertaste. Great cider with a low acidity!
