Half-pint, cask at the Globe. In friendly company with jjsint and Finn. Covering beige head, copper coloured body, scattered lacing. Moderate malt-fruity aromas, mid-sweet. Quite well blended taste of brown malts, toffee, and a backdrop of stewed fruits. Rounded malt-fruity tail. Pretty decent. (Leicester, 25.03.2024).

Cask at Old Bell, Derby. Pours the classic “bitter brown” with minimal off-white head but good lacing. There’s some malts in the aroma, but not much else. In the mouth, the main flavours are caramel, toffee and malts with some autumn fruits coming through later. Finish is quite fruity. Reasonable but nothing special.

14/3/2019. Cask at the Leicester Beer Festival 2019. Pours clear bright golden amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, fruit, butter and grain. Light to moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness and a light sourness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Sour finish, seemed quite rough. Not a good one except in looks.
