Description
Located in the Finistère region, the Brasserie de Bretagne (formerly Brasserie Britt) has existed since 1998 and brews Breton craft beers. It is distinguished by the creation of “innovative” beers such as Britt Rosée and event beers such as Britt with Special Sochi Vodka or even Britt Do Brasil. Production (in hl per year): 72,000. Other brands are Ar-men, Dremmwel and Sann Erwan.
It is in the coastal town of Concarneau that we develop our recipes in an 8,500 m2 workshop, combining quality raw materials with the mastery of our know-how, inspired by a rich artisanal tradition.

AROMA: slight yeast and mineral note with a moderate ester and phenolic aroma (orange-like and clove). medium malty and slightly sweet background. APPEARANCE: gold color and clear. medium white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: similiar to the aroma, with a slight yeasty presence, moderate oranges and clove. low bitterness with a semi-sweet and bready finish. PALATE: medium to medium-low body with a slight smoothness. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a malt oriented blonde with an alternative grain that gives a peculiar touch.

APPEARANCE: golden color and clear. medium white moussy head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma (cereal husk) with medium-low phenolics (clove). medium-low lightly sweet malt background. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. tanninic astringency present. OVERALL: a blond ale-like beer with too much cereal husk presence resulting in astringency.

APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium-low ivory, moussy head, with good persistance. TASTE: initial medium-low malt flavor with toasty, slight caramelly notes and with cereal husk notes of the same intensity. medium bitterness with a dry and medium bitter and slight malty finish (malt balanced). PALATE: medium-light body with medium-low carbonation. slight alcohol warmth. OVERALL: an amber biere-de-garde with tipical notes but with a strong cereal husk presence.
