Description
Located in the Finistère region, the Brasserie de Bretagne (formerly Brasserie Britt) has existed since 1998 and brews Breton craft beers. It is distinguished by the creation of “innovative” beers such as Britt Rosée and event beers such as Britt with Special Sochi Vodka or even Britt Do Brasil. Production (in hl per year): 72,000. Other brands are Ar-men, Dremmwel and Sann Erwan.

It is in the coastal town of Concarneau that we develop our recipes in an 8,500 m2 workshop, combining quality raw materials with the mastery of our know-how, inspired by a rich artisanal tradition.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Tasting by Fin & Loz ].Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, metalic. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, malt extract. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Lightly brown, fizzy head. Hazy-muddy red-brown body. Lightly caramel flavour with some hops and phenols giving it az winey touch: quite weak aroma all in the end.Lightly bitter, moderately sweet flavour: quite weak and somewhat unbalanced. Very/too weakly carbonated.

33cl bottle. Murky brownish with off-white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma is slightly malty, caramel and yeasty. Flavour is yeasty, with a final moderate bittery with an average duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is light to medium.

33cl bottle. Poured a black beer with off-white head, good formation and lasting. Aroma is to toasted malt, licorice. Flavour is toasty, roasty, woody, with traces of dark coffee and with a final slightly bittery. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium to full. Texture is moderate creamy.

Bottled. Cloudy deep golden, mid-sized head. Fruity nose with spice and hay. Medium bodied wit hrounded mouthfeel and low bitterness. A relaxed, laid back ale.

Bottled. Lightly hazy golden, mid-sized head. Fruity coriander aroma. Dryish with notes of dough, grains and buckwheat. Light grassy bitterness. Well balanced and nicely drinkable.

33cl bottle. Murky golden beer with white head, good persistence. Aroma has traces of floral hops, apple, yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet at the beginning, with a final moderate bittery. Well balanced. Texture is oily. Carbonation is medium to high. Body is medium.

Bottle Wednesday 26th Oct 2011 at home. My dad Jan brought this beer fr me, cheers dad! Soft in the mouth, some tangy fruit. Malty but I didn’t really get the smoked maltiness from the peat. Hazy amber in colour, nice beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottled@Chriso "Donkey Dork Lord" pre-gbbf shindig. Hazy orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, yeasty, mildly acidic and some wooden and earthy notes as well. Flavour is the same in a quite nice balance. Also some slight alcohol to be found.
