Bottle. Hazy, golden pour with some microfloaties. Nice fruity start on the aroma, with some spices as well. The flavor is fruity-sweet and bitter, with a little alcohol to warm you’re throat. Medium to full body and a herbal-bitter finish. Quite nice, but I don’t think I could drink much of it. (071013)

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour. A slightly hazy red chestnut colour with a small white head; full fruity flavour, with a biscuit aftertaste that doesn’t really develop. Disappointing.

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour.Bottle conditioned; a hazy gold pour with a thick white head; a sweet honeyed aroma with touches of pineapple; smooth and creqmy with tropical fruit flavours; leaving a sticky feeling in the mouth. I much preferred the Rousse, but this was a fine attempt.

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour.Bottle conditioned; but despite this poured a clear reddish gold colour with a thick off-white head; aroma of burnt treacle and smoke; well-textured with powerful dark malts and caramel and smoke flavours; and a long burnt caramel after-taste. Stunning.

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour.Bottle conditioned; a hazy straw colour with masses of billowing head; aroma of apricots and yeast; smooth and full in the mouth with more fruit and a well-balanced bitterness. An excellent beer.

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour. As cloudy as their Blanche; yeasty aroma, but not as dominant as the Blanche; sweet malty taste with a touch of herbs. Creamy and easy to drink with a smoky finish.
