500ml bottle from a local Metro store... after visiting the brewery a few months back. Pours a hazy golden colour with a white cap, good stay and fluffy foamy lacing. Did not like aromas at first pour, but eventually, it gets back in place with the citrus notes, Saison yeast sweetness and fresh grassy hops. The taste is a little more on the hoppy side with the citrus zest in the background. Some tartiness on the tongue. Not bad, but not in my top Saisons for sure.
Earlier Rating: 5/22/2013 Total Score: 3.8
Found at Marché Omni. Pours a very slight hazy, light golden colour with a big creamy white head that lasts a very, very long time and chunks out foamy lacing. The smell at first reminds me of my first Unibroue experiences when they started. Spicy nose (peppery) with the Belgian Ale yeast, mild grass and citrus. Beautiful mouthfeel with just a little dryness in the finish, from the hop. Not overly bitter with a 35 IBU, which works well for this one. Very well-balanced taste of milder spices with the rest. The fruity aspect of a Saison are here, but come in and out as it breathes. Goes down very nicely and can be enjoyed any time of the year.

A reddish copper barleywine with a very thin off white head. In aroma, very nice sweet treacle caramel malt with light bourbon barrel notes, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of vanilla, bourbon, malt balls, light licorice, interesting. On tap at Balthazar Laval.

Enjoyed at Le St-Pub on my Quebec microbrewery run 2017. Pours a clean golden colour with a warm cap and good lacing. Banana aromas with rye notes and mild grass. Quite dry with bitterness in the taste. Quite a hoppy Saison, which makes me wonder the style. More like a hoppy rye beer to me. Still good.

Enjoyed at Le St-Pub on my Quebec microbrewery run 2017. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a light-beige cap, almost creamy with thick lacing. Taste like rye grain with the darker notes and spiciness, but with lots of hops. Quite bitter, but not as dry as expected. Hints of fruits. Mild cereal grain aromas. Quite a nice refreshing bitter beer with spelt that is grown regionally. A must try here.

Enjoyed at Le St-Pub on my Quebec microbrewery run 2017 as my last beer of the night. The bar was closing for 3 weeks that night (seasonal staff vacations and renovations). Pours a clean, dark amber colour with a light-beige head and alright lacing. Fruity malt scent with a floral grassiness in the background. Fruity malt taste with alcohol, bitterness, spices in the finish and some nice cereal grains. Caramel lingers. A nice Belgian Strong ale in the Dubbel-kind-of-style with spices and caramel malts.

Enjoyed at Le St-Pub on my Quebec microbrewery run 2017 in their big tall German cylinder glass (as taken in the pic). Pours a clean light golden colour with a white head and great lacing. Very light smelling with mild malts and hops. Cereal grain taste with some soapy hop finish. The mouthfeel is crisp. A pretty good lager for those who are fans of Steam Whistle (as it tastes like it).
