Bomber picked up at the brewery lsat week. split 6 ways at cellar temp. pours a dark brown, red-hued color. small head. a little ash and cigar followed by burnt brown sugar, molasses and toffee. flavor, not that great. lots of dark fruit. vanilla and toffee, smoked something. hmm, this one just sort of missed the mark.

Dark chestnut-auburn with a good clarity and barely any dark beige head.
Good acidity in the nose balancing a strong maple-honey-toffee maltiness. Light pepper/spice from the bourbon with deep cherry and apple fruitiness. Smells like it’s going to be quite rich, but the alcohol is well-concealed and it’s not hopped to all hell.
Floral notes surprise, up front, as dry alcohol and wood notes balance the caramel-toffee. Sweet, though with the acidity coming through and somewhat balancing it, but also slightly fatiguing the palate itself. Light coconut and more wood linger on the finish with light spice and honey. If the carbonation was a bit higher and finer, I think it would help break up some of the syrupiness. As well, even if there aren’t fusel notes, it’s still very strong and heavily warming. Gets pretty overbearing pretty quickly. But in the grand scheme of American barleywines, it’s still more dry than many. Some nice citrics and fruitiness, as well. Really don’t care for it at all, but I can respect the restraint on the barrel and relative dryness (and lack of resinous hops).

Tap RBSG2016. Not much smell, has a clean nose. Clear pale. Good initial sizzle but could use a tad more co2. Mild easy fun tart ale. Yes, slight wild effects, quite tasty. Good stuff, very good. Ever so slight bitterness on the end never lets you forget its beer. Yes, one of the better EE beers I’ve had lately.

honey colored amber. Crisp aroma, sweet, malty i hear this is second runnings of East End Gratitude. mmm, it really allows the malts in gratitude to shine. great malt backbone, has some tropical fruits and even a little mountain dew lime element to it.

Very hazy bright orange, solid white head. Citrus, orange, even some spiciness here. Quite juicy up front then goes to soap and orange peel. Wheat body but only a little banana at the finish.

on nitro draft, 2 finger heavy really heavy head like super creamy. reddish brown. Smells like a smoked alt-bier, light, smokey, very faint brown sugar aroma. Insanely light malt and mouthfeel and taste. but it is a mild, little coffee bean, cocoa and some dark fruits.

pale yellow 1 finger off-white head. smells like flat sprite (lemon,lime) with lacto (no sulphur or poop smell luckily). tastes a lot like a very sweet version of a sprite cola or 7-Up. Tart in the middle, lingering wheat flavor with more 7-up. it’s actually very refreshing overall. Highly enjoyable
