Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a red-brown color with orange highlights and a large foamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cherry, plum, boozy, almost medicinal and had a burnt caramel note. The flavor was boozy, black cherry, fig, plum, a touch medicinal, faintly smoky and had a bit of burnt caramel. Very long finish. Medium body. Odd but interesting.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a murky orange-apricot color with a medium sized foamy white head that left moderate lacing. The aroma was tart citrus and vague berry. The flavor was tart yet dry with vague berry, cracker and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a slightly hazy pale yellow color with a small foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was faintly sweet with a bit of citrus and perfume. The flavor was tangy with cracker, citrus and a hint of perfume. Medium length finish. Light to medium body. Pleasant.

750ml bottle [Another regional gem delivered by David, thanks a lot!]. Almost black colour with dark ruby red glimmer and average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, almost fully lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Dry, woody, dark malty aroma, hints of smoke, notes of red and dark fruit, red berries, blue berries, plum. Taste is slightly smoky, dark malty, notes of chocolate and dark fruit, subtle sweetness, a minimally tart and dry woody touch; lasting chocolately finish, slightly sticky palate. Mild and balanced, slightly restrained intensity.

750ml bottle [Ultimate thanx to David for delivering "what tickles (my) fancy"!]. Cloudy, dark amber colour with small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Bready, fruity aroma, notes of apricot and peach, hints of mirabelle, sultana, raisin, honey and baked banana, cautious yeast spiciness. Taste is moderately sweet fruity, slightly alcoholic, notes of apricot, peach, mirabelle, a touch of apple purée, baked banana, sultanine, raisin; warming alcoholic finish, viscous texture, sticky palate, soft carbonation. Uncalled-for heavy.

Scottish Ale? Hmm. 750 ml bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a dark brown color with a medium brown head. A sour woody, fruity nose. Vinous flavors, red berries, some wood, sweet Munich malts, chocolate. The sourness is all over, but pretty tart. Looks like this has Lacto and a strain of Brett, mostly I get Brett I guess with some sweaty socks. Not bad, a sort of experimental unrefined flavor which is fine.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG 2015. Hazy reddish color, small to average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly alcohol, bourbon, a hint of raisins and dark fruits. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice!
