[9/26/10] Draught at t’ Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Clear deep reddish color with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma with some citrus, pine hints and biscuity malt. Sweetish malty flavor, somewhat toasty, continues to a mildly bitter hoppy finish with a bit of grapefruit notes. Medium-bodied. Highly drinkable.

[9/23/10] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Muddy orange-brown. Aroma is bretty and a bit woody. Sweetish-sourish fruity flavor, a bit lactic. Medium-bodied. Probably shouldn’t be sour, but I like it that way.

Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010, courtesy of Alex, Marco and Fabio - grazie, ragazzi! This was my favorite of the three of Alex’s lambics at the festival, and rivals 3-F two year old lambic in terms of soft lactic sourness, citrus notes, and dry dusty finish. Very nice.

On tap at Beer Temple, just as Houtduif. Hazy light amber colour, off white head. Aroma of wood, light tart, hoppy, caramel, IPA-like. Flavour is woody and tart, oak, juicy and sweet, fruity, hoppy finish with tart oaky notes. A bit thin at times, but creamy and tasty, even if the tart/sourness is probably not intended.

(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam 31 July 2010) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and a touch of caramel. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange, grapefruit, some caramel and a slightly piney bitterness in the finish. Nice hop character, with more focus on aroma than on bitterness. More than medium body, well balanced sweetness. Very nice.

Draught @ Kafe Belgie. Unclear orange colour, white head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty, orange peel. Flavour is light malted, fruity, oranges, yeasty. Light bodied, slightly dry finish.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruits, and peachy hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of fruit and hops as well as medium notes of malt, peaches, and lemon, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish
