Description
Our 20 barrel brew plant is set in a beautiful 300-year-old barn which is capable of producing up to 100 brewers barrels (28,800 pints) of beer each week.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Bitter, hoppy and slight fruity flavoured. Bitter and dry hoppy finish. Ends dry and bitter.

Cask at The Pineapple, London. A dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, as well as a lighter note of spices, leading to a dry finish.

[Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), Wycombe] Gold, slight fizz, small white head. Hay, an industrial lager-like taste, a hint of lemon and then loads of cardboard. Very poor effort from what is normally a reliable brewery.

Cask @ The Crown River, JDW, Heatrow. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty sweetish flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty hoppy finish.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW. Clear yellow, white foam head. Floral, citric hops, some crispy malts in the nose. Lightly sweet, dry cereal, biscuits, straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Crisp, relatively well balanced finish, more dry malts and some grassy, faintly citrusy hops. Not bad.

Cask at a JDW, Blackheath. Pours light gold with a medium head. Aroma is light lemon and wheat. Taste doesn’t have much to start. Light tart, citrus finish.

50cl bottle from Asda, Stevenage. A reddish copper with a fast fading off-white head; aroma of caramel and malt; some red fruit and sweet toffee flavour; and a muddy bitterness to finish, with some rasping alcohol. Pleasant enough.

Clear brown beer. Good balance of malt and hops, neither dominate. Pretty low carbonation. Nice aniseed in the undertone. Very drinkable.

50cl bottle from Asda, Stevenage. Pours amber with a rim of white head; malty aroma; oily texture, with a caramel malt flavour, and a touch of treacle towards the finish.
