Description
It was 1857 when Hugo Bayerlein founded the Bayreuther Bierbrauerei. In 1872 Hugo Bayerlein sold the brewery to a group of investors. These changed the brewery's name to a public limited company and sold the shares to Bayreuth families. In 1965, the Maisel brewery, with its Gebr. Maisel brewery, acquired a large package of shares and thus provided a positive impetus for the further development of our Bayreuth brewery. In this way, the Bayreuth brewery was able to maintain its independence, develop positively and enter into a well-functioning cooperation with the neighboring family brewery. With a large portion of foresight, the managers of our Bayreuth beer brewery and the Gebr. Maisel brewery decided in the 1960s to use our capacities together. So the new location was selected jointly and the joint production facility was founded.

On tap somwhere! Clear gold beer. Dry palate, a bit too dry. Dry malt, a little citrus and then more dryness. Too much like hard work.

0.5l bottle @ a local pub in Monfalcone. It's a bit dark in here but this seems to be a light blurry golden one. It has a medium sized but quickly fading off-white head. On the aroma I don't get to much except a light sourness and perhaps some malts. I'ts quite cold, and people are smoking in here so I really don't get to much out of this. It's average carbonated with a almost fizzing oily texture. Flavors are quite refreshing and not bad at all. A bit sweet and almost bread-caramelly bus still quite clean and easy to drink. Not extreme in any way, but a good quencher. 18.05.2012

On tap. Dark orange color, hazed with a yellowish white head. Looks similar to a Weizen, but less dense. Nothing special i could remind of, light malts, straw and some yeastiness. Taste is quite flat and slightly bitter. Carbonation is sustained, body is light and finish is dry.
