Description
It was 1857 when Hugo Bayerlein founded the Bayreuther Bierbrauerei. In 1872 Hugo Bayerlein sold the brewery to a group of investors. These changed the brewery's name to a public limited company and sold the shares to Bayreuth families. In 1965, the Maisel brewery, with its Gebr. Maisel brewery, acquired a large package of shares and thus provided a positive impetus for the further development of our Bayreuth brewery. In this way, the Bayreuth brewery was able to maintain its independence, develop positively and enter into a well-functioning cooperation with the neighboring family brewery. With a large portion of foresight, the managers of our Bayreuth beer brewery and the Gebr. Maisel brewery decided in the 1960s to use our capacities together. So the new location was selected jointly and the joint production facility was founded.

Średniej klasy lager. Piana się wyróżnia napewno. Ale smak jakiś taki delikatny. Mało chmielowy i mało słodowy. Ogólnie wszystkich walorów poza puszystą pianą brakuje

50cl bottle. Creamy white head. Clear amber pour. Quite a mellow aftertaste that’s hard to place. Quite a decent beer.

Active carbonation lifts a light and fluffy one finger head. Clear golden color with sour hay aroma. Slightly sour, grassy taste. Watery mouthfeel and no aftertaste. Decent for a hot summer day, but not the usual "bread-like" body you get from some German beers.

Pours darker brown than its Kellbier brother, but overall flavor and aroma are the same...weak. Some bitterness on the palate, but overall flavor is not impressive, no particular notes stand out. Mouthfeel is watery....

Beer looks good, but overall impression is watery, with flavor that fades fast. This fading head and no lacing on glass. Nice orange/copper color, Mild citrus aroma.

Bottle from Classic Deli aka Dodgy Deli, Cowley Rd, Oxford, consumed at home Sunday 5th August 2012 Chestnut brown with an off-white head. Touch watery, maltiness is there with some caramel, soft in mouth even a little creaminess at ghe edges. There is a little dark fruit but actually I still find this a little thin. Fine and another good but not great German beer. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
