Description
It was 1857 when Hugo Bayerlein founded the Bayreuther Bierbrauerei. In 1872 Hugo Bayerlein sold the brewery to a group of investors. These changed the brewery's name to a public limited company and sold the shares to Bayreuth families. In 1965, the Maisel brewery, with its Gebr. Maisel brewery, acquired a large package of shares and thus provided a positive impetus for the further development of our Bayreuth brewery. In this way, the Bayreuth brewery was able to maintain its independence, develop positively and enter into a well-functioning cooperation with the neighboring family brewery. With a large portion of foresight, the managers of our Bayreuth beer brewery and the Gebr. Maisel brewery decided in the 1960s to use our capacities together. So the new location was selected jointly and the joint production facility was founded.

(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized, slowly lacing white foam. Dense and slightly sweet strawy malt aroma. Very mild sweetbitter flavour, light to medium body, soft carbonation. Mild malty, minimal hoppy, absolutely unspectacular taste; but quite balanced, very easy-going and refreshing; malty, very light-bitter, faint hoppy finish. I somewhat appreciate it.

Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Malty, slightly yeasty taste with a subtle fruity note (oranges); slightly yeasty and malty, light-bitter and shy hoppy finish. Not bad.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, pale golden with a decent, white head. Malty aroma. Medium-bodied with a solid malt character balanced by dry - but not overly bitter - hops. Clean and very German. 150906

Test vom 22.6.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,12,7,12,12 - 10,70
