Bottle: Golden, mid-sized white head, light, clean grainy-dusty nose with a faint fruity touch; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied; shy lemony traces in the grainy finish. Clean, but unspectacular Helles........

Bügelverschlußflasche. Amber coloured, big fluffy off-white head with a good lace. Drier dark-malty and caramelly nose with a touch of nutmeg. Moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied. Increasing bitterness towards the fruity-malty finish. Not bad, but a bit too fruity........

Bottle. Golden, big slowly collapsing white fluffy head. Grassy-grainy nose, a bit papery. Moderate, dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, soft MF. Papery undertones again in the citrousy-bitter and sweet finish. O.K., not exciting..............

(swing top bottle) Clear, ruby dark amber colour with a big but not very persistent light-beige foamy head. Sour doughy, minimal toasted malty nose with sugar beet and gassy notes. Sweet and slightly sour flavour with a faint touch of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Toasty malty, slightly sugary and leafy taste with faint notes of caramel and cacao; moderately dry and roasty, bitter and sour doughy finish. Like a mediocre Schwarzbier from the east (14.X.08).
