Draft at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork, Ireland. Pours almost black with some nice reddish reflections in the bottom of the glass, and very homogeneous cream foam. Aroma is coffee, toffee and chocolate. Body is average and velvety, with limited carbonation. Taste is moderately in both the sweet and bitter dimensions, well balanced. Finish is average.

Keg at the bar in bfs. A clear amber copper coloured pour with a creamy white head. Aroma is nutty grassy hop, damp hay, toasted malts. Flavour is composed of nutty toasted malts, burnt sugar, grassy. Palate is thin, semi sweet, chalky,. Not bad.

Pint draft @ Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth. Dorée, sur un léger col blanc. Arôme est plaisant, bonne teneur de pomme avec une petite douceur purée de pomme en rétro. Palais est crisp, léger, finement sec avec une belle rondeur de pomme, le tout pas trop âcre, une douceur certaine se dégage par rapport à d'autres cidres.

Fles geprobeerd in Limburg. Het is een robijnrood bier met weinig schuim. De geur van mout en caramel. De smaak is moutig, caramel en nootachtig. .

0.44 l can from 'The English Shop', canned in September 2017. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, creamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, milk coffee and some vanilla. Moderately sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and traces of dark fruits, followed by a short, medium roasty-bitter, earthy-dry finish. Medium body, very smooth and silky mouthfeel, flat. Pretty nice, benefits a lot from the nitrogen though.
