Can @ home. Black appearance with a creamy tan head. Creamy, chocolate malty, nitro-like, burnt, earthy aroma. Thin body. Burnt, dark chocolate malty, creamy, char flavor. Another one of these English stouts that is unpalatable to me.

Can. Pours clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel with hints of toffee and chocolate. A bit to tasteless and sweet for my liking. Sweet finish with just a hint of hoppy bitterness in the end.

A pretty golden eagle carving close by for this smooth keg stout re-rate at the Golden Eagle in Chester. Its light roasted malts are pleasant enough, although this is a texture enjoyable brew, especially on an unusually warm March day.
