2nd from left draught, 7/9/26.
Woah Christmas! Potpourri to the max with florals and bath soaps and some nutty, lightly toasty, light caramelly malts. Hard to get past the soapiness, initially, but either it softens or my palate accustoms after a while and it becomes more floral and spice-like.
Good maltiness, without going ham on the crystal malt. But as with the nose, it's a lot of potpourri and begins soapily. After returning to it ten minutes later, it fares better and just feels very peppery and spicy, less given to soapiness.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: bright orange haziness with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney to mixed citrusy, floral and a light lemon to orangey hop tones; light clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fair bittersweet to sweet and semi-juicy sort of quality; brisk dry finish of some floral, lemony and piney hop tones
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness, light hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: worthy NEIPA I could return to.

Can to tulip. Can dated 01/23/2020 and consumed 02/13/2020.
Appearance: orange cloudiness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pine, mango, oranges, light grapefruit and a touch of pineapple; nice clean malts underneath
Flavor: seems to mesh the prior noted aromas pretty well in a very nice sweet to bittersweet semi-juicy quality; finishes piney, mango-like with a touch of dryness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning to be sessionable; some smoothness, low carb and low bitterness assertiveness
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done NEIPA I would welcome again.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a three finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: semi-sweet coffee with some earthy, roasty and bitter tones to it; dark chocolate, light sweet wafery malts underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine roasty to bitter and semi-sweet quality; finishes semi-dry with a touch of bitterness from the coffee and dark chocolate
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; fairly smooth along the tongue; very little assertiveness from anything
Overall: nicely done coffee porter worthy of coming back to.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: maroon color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated into oblivion, no lace
Aroma: sweet and tart cherries up front with a light lactose sweetness underneath
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sweet quality initially but a light note of sour enters in subtly; finishes cherry forward with a little bit of sweet creaminess
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; some smoothness but light sour to tart character does enter in to punch the tongue just a bit
Overall: I say it's a nice cherry forward tart ale with some light sour-ish qualities about it.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in the glass with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which trailed off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet to spicy to floral portions of the rye (this is a good thing); dark roasted malts, subtle coffee roast, dark chocolate; earthy to woody scents
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine spicy rye character to a fair roasty to bitter side with subtle sweetness from the dark chocolate; finishes mostly with the spiciness of the rye and the dark chocolate showing more of it's bitter side
Texture: medium bodied, this is most definitely a sipper!; clean smoothness but somewhat light as the rye shows some dryness to nip the tongue as I expected it to.
Overall: a Russian impy stout with all the aspects of the rye in it! Boom! Absolutely love this beer.
