Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/19/2016. Clear orange-amber color with a medium thin white head that recedes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, melon, hops and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, chocolate, peppers. Medium mouth, strong spice and heat, dark chocolate, wood, bitter finish, good.

22oz bomber. Spiciest so far in our chili stout throwdown. Quite nice. Huge Mexican cake aroma. Quite intense, bold. Really has some finishing heat. Excellent, pepper forward. No joke, a good one to split.

Tulip at the brewery - dark copper/amber - heavy bourbon, vanilla, and oak on the nose, dampening the base beer (high sweetness, no hop vibrancy), reminding me more of a barley wine, but the coconut and vanilla of the barrel are pretty nice - assertive hoppiness in the flavor, though - at least up front - a lot of citrus and pine - middle brings strong sweetness, bourbon/booze - booziness is particularly pronounced in the finish - tail end is oak and alcohol - strong lingering alcohol flavor - meh.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy gold - medium tart nose with a nice mix of tropical and barnyard Brett character, a bit of lemon and flintiness - creamy texture - mildly sweet up front, with tropical Brett complimenting it well - dries out through the middle and gets moderately spicy and a little funky - a moderate punch of acidity finishes things off - well done.

Shaker pint draft at Lowry Beer Garden in Denver, Colorado. They had this beer listed at 6.2% abv, and an IPA. Based on other reviews, I believe this is the same beer. The pour is a hazed orange copper, with not too much of an off white head. The aroma is fresh hop green, citrus, earth, along with some mineral. The taste is the green hop, earthy, herbal and some medicinal yeast. Behind that is some citrus leaf hop that was present in the nose. As it warmed, some onion and garlic was evident. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and clove in the in finish. Just OK.
