A golden lager with a thin collapsing white head. In aroma, sweet corn malt with light mineral notes, a tad too sweet. In mouth, a light sweet German malt with light corn adjunct notes, faint hops, OK. Bottle at Lawas 613 Cafe, Yogyakarta, in my hotel.

A clear brown "stout" with a thick brown head. In aroma, mix of coca cola with roasted malt, not offensive, but more like a pop. In mouth, a diabetic nightmare, sweet chocolate malt balls, honey, bad.... Can from a Alfamart, Yogyakarta, 90 cents.

Bottle pours out a pale wheat color topped with a white head. Nose is corn and some grassy. Taste is more of the corn some caramel malt.

This is by far the most ubiquitous beer in Indonesia and probably the country’s best lager. Ok body and bitterness. Lacks skunkiness and very refreshing when super cold. Good for weather near the equator

Shared 11.2 bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color with a minuscule white head. Taste and smells like a standard macro-produced pale lager.

Il gusto al naso ritrova l’orzo. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Le bollicine sono fini. La carbonazione è media. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è medio. L’amaro è moderato. L’intensità gustativa è normale e la persistenza gustativa è corta. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di facile beva. Il finale è pulito e semplice. In bocca l’aroma riporta sentori di cereali.

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from Prosi Exotic supermarket, Vienna. First rating of Indonesia for me. It poured golden body with a tiny head. Grainy and interestingly, a bit peppery aroma. Flavor was sweetish corny, lightly soapy and grainy. Medium bodied for a pale lager. Slightly sweet, grainy and dusty finish. Not that bad, just boring.
