Auch wenn ich mir nicht anmaßen will, verschiedene Hopfensorten 🌿 zu erschmecken, so fand ich dieses hopfige Pale Ale wirklich fein. Es hatte feine grasige 🌴 und auch harzige 🪵Aromen, die es sehr erfrischend machen. Es hat einen eigenen Charakter, das unerfahrene Biertrinker sicher abschreckt, aber das Aromenspiel fand ich wirklich toll.

Med-thin body, medium carbo. Med-high bitter, med-light candyish sweet, light caramelly. Med general fruity hops, rather in berries territory, light elderflower, gooseberry, light grassy. Goodish, not greatish.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Almost clear brownish amber. Aroma of log fire smoke. Sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Syrup, caramel, tar and smoke. Sugary finish with slight bitterness. Nice smoke. Disturbing sweetness and lack of malt firmness.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy pale golden, small head. Aroma of peach and nectarine. Excessive artificial sweetness on fruity.malt. Oversweetened peach yoghurt. No tartness whatsoever. Only artificial sweetener. Gah.

Tap at PZ. Hazy golden body, fleeting small off-white head. Citric aroma, bit of orange, light maltiness. Sweetish yet fairly lean taste, low juiciness, odd almost phenolic herbal bitter touch in the finish. Just okay, below average for Mazák really.

Had this (bottle 750ml) at Zizniva Gumovka, Ceské Budêjovice, Czech Rep', Friday 19th June 2026. Pours hazy yellow/gold, white head that becomes quite filmy in no time. Good mouthfeel, not completely doing it for me re: the style, was hoping for something more Belgian, e.g. DuPont, having said that it's absolutely fine. Score: 6.9
