Pivovar Mazák
Microbrewery in Dolní Bojanovice, South Moravian Region, Czechia 🇨🇿
Established in 2011
The brewery was founded and continues to operate in the picturesque wine-growing village of Dolní Bojanovice, located in the Lower Moravian valley 8 km from the town of Hodonín.
Over the years, the technology was brought up to the current five-vessel brewhouse, in which the brewery is able to brew a batch with a volume of 1400L. The portfolio of the brewery consists of both classic Czech and German-style lagers, as well as top-fermented beers of the ALE type. To produce beer, it uses domestic malts and hops, as well as foreign hops, which are most often used in the production of special beers.

Med-full body, med carbo, smooth cereal mouthfeel. Med bitter, med-light sweet, also med-light grassy astringency. Hopping went sideways, not fresh and juicy, but earthy, grassy, cheesy. Unfresh hops used. Hard to drink. Meh.
Later on a substantial amount of sediment began pouring out of the keg, even long before it was finished. Evidently a bad keg with lots of junk inside.

A bit cloudy golden color and small white head. Grainy, a bit yeasty aroma. Light-bodied. Very hoppy, rustic, yeasty flavour, minerally even. Interesting.

Med-thin bod, med-hi carb. Med-hi bitter, light yeasty sourish, feels pretty young. Not bad though. Medium grassy and earthy hops char, not feeling entirely Saazy. Some weird interactions going in this one, but overall good, drinkable.

Tap at Vratnice. Full yellow body, murky, off-white head. Citric, lightly peachy aroma. Creamy taste, kveikish sourness, peachy, coconutty, smooth. Eeeh okay.

Tap at NaPalmě. Clear golden body, white head. Sweetish floral, bit spicy and herbal aroma, bit papery. Sweetish, but generally lean and dried out taste, nicely floral, citric, bit herbal and bitterish, maybe some mild honeyish maltiness. Nothing flashy, but a decent tasting beer!

Med-thin bod, med-light candyish and a bit of cara, I guess intentionally. Med-light carbo, could use more. Malt works well with this hops combo, citra especially, so it is hops-forward, exotic, citrusy, also a bit dank. But pretty boring also. Gbng.

Med-thin body, med-high carbo. Med-high bitter, med-light candyish sweet, light caramel. Hops-centered overall though, medium grassy, light zesty, citrusy, dank. Could use more hoppy oomph, feels a bit weak. Clean though, drinkable. Gbng.

0.7l bottle with Gurthnar and Pavel D. Clearish golden body, off-white head. Light sweetish lemongrass aroma. Lean, dry, soft lemongrass-driven taste with very little hop presence, light bitter finish. Emm... not bad but not particularly enticing either.
