Description
LOC Brewery brews quirky, craft beers that are a voyage of discovery for the taste senses. It is our ambition to conquer the world with this. LOC Brewery wants to experiment with flavours, herbs, fruit and even let beers mature in wooden barrels.
LOC Brewery is an initiative of Roy Maas (he left in 2018), Erwin Schellekens, Daniel Tano and Paul Cools. The four know each other because their children were in the same class, so they met in the schoolyard. In December 2014, LOC Brewery started brewing small amounts of beer. Since then, brewing has accelerated to meet the demand from tastings and events. The first beer was launched in June 2015.

Bottle @ home. Dark orange to somewhat amber color, virtually no head. Sour lactic aroma as far as anyone can actually smell that. That's what it reminds me of anyway. Flavor however is quite moderately sour, quite soft and a nice raspberry note indeed. Not sure if this is a gose per se though. I don't have enough knowledge of this style to really say anything about it, so for me this might just as easily be a berliner weisse tbh. It's quite nice though.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a dense and lacing white head. Piney and fruity nose. Medium body, again fruity and quite sweet. A little yeasty. Ends dry but not very bitter. 270618

I love a Citra beer and this is a good if unspectacular example of the sort. Crisp and clean but not unique.

Bottle @ home. Very murky peachy mango orangy color, small bubbly white head. Aroma is indeed peachy mango - ish. Flavor has the mango notes as well, combined with a decent bitterness, quite some (light) citrussy bitter finish. Thin texture, carbonation a bit more noticeable than I would have liked. All things considered, not one of their best beers imo.

Sampled during RB Raid over Rotterdam March 3rd 2018. Opaque black color, average sized tan head. Aroma is weird, I get red fruits wtf...Taste malts, a bit sweet or honey liquorice notes, dark brown bread notes. Decent to medium body, soft carbonation.

Tap at NBPF. Hazy pale yellow with white head. Nice passion fruit, soft sour grains and a light lactic kettle sour note. Not much else really (not that I need more). Under medium sweet, sour and bitter. Under medium bodied with slight creamy feel. Well done.
