Description
LOC Brewery brews quirky, craft beers that are a voyage of discovery for the taste senses. It is our ambition to conquer the world with this. LOC Brewery wants to experiment with flavours, herbs, fruit and even let beers mature in wooden barrels.
LOC Brewery is an initiative of Roy Maas (he left in 2018), Erwin Schellekens, Daniel Tano and Paul Cools. The four know each other because their children were in the same class, so they met in the schoolyard. In December 2014, LOC Brewery started brewing small amounts of beer. Since then, brewing has accelerated to meet the demand from tastings and events. The first beer was launched in June 2015.

Bottle shared with myself. I really don’t like sharing with other people. There is so much less to drink :-) Poured a murky straw colour with a bubbly broken white head. The aroma is yeast, sugary malt, sweet fruity grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery woody hop bittter, light fruit, light fake sugar palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Bottle, BB 03-04.2018+ (from het biermoment). Pours hazy amber with huge whiteish head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, pineapple, caramel, mango. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, citrus, mango, pineapple, grapefruit. Finish is sweet and dry-grapefruit bitter. Carbonation is bit too much. It really tryes to climb out of the bottle after the first pour, but not a gusher. Overall: decent dipa, but not really balanced. Also not a fan of beers that climb out of the bottle.

Bottle thanks to Nihtila. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen. Nice fawn head. Nose - molasses and burnt toffee. Creamy chocolate. Dried fruit and booze. Taste - burnt raisins and chocolate. Intermingled prunes. Palate - full bodied with a rich creamy texture and a long rich finish. Challenging but great. Overall - a bit gnarly but good.
