Description
LOC Brewery brews quirky, craft beers that are a voyage of discovery for the taste senses. It is our ambition to conquer the world with this. LOC Brewery wants to experiment with flavours, herbs, fruit and even let beers mature in wooden barrels.
LOC Brewery is an initiative of Roy Maas (he left in 2018), Erwin Schellekens, Daniel Tano and Paul Cools. The four know each other because their children were in the same class, so they met in the schoolyard. In December 2014, LOC Brewery started brewing small amounts of beer. Since then, brewing has accelerated to meet the demand from tastings and events. The first beer was launched in June 2015.

From tap at Mout fest Arnhem 2018. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, some fruity notes from the orange peel, liquorice, and chocolate. More bitter than sweet, which I like. Body is above medium. Enjoyable Porter.

14 August 2024. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
A: clear golden, small, foamy, white head.
A: bread dough, apple, wheat, pear, 'kinnekessuiker'.
T: sweetish apple, dough, sourish wheat, bit spicy.
F: floral hops, yellow fruit, wheat, bit spicy pepper.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Summery and easy to drink; perhaps a bit understated.

Clear blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, unstable, a little adhesive. Aroma: goddamn, all diacetyl, lots and lots of butter, pretty unpleasant, slightly fruity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice hoppy start, some citrus, a little bitter, fruity touch, grassy, lots of diacetyl, not great. Aftertaste: hoppy, a little bitter, watery, more diacetyl. Bleh.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV op feest bij Keukeman. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van citrus en hop. De smaak is vol, grassig, citrus, kruidig en hoppig.

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Opaque black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are exactly what a dry oat stout should be: malts, dark malts, rather dry, bitter, light metallic notes and soft burnt malts. True to style I think, but probably a bit tough for the casual drinker. 8-7-7,5-8-7,5

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Bright yellow color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malty, very fruity especially in the aroma, flavor also has a nice bitterness to it. Not bad. Bit thin texture, but not bad. 7-8-7-6-7
