Can from De Mo... brewery in the Netherlands. Rich and spicy aroma. Grassy. Malts. Earthy. Burnt caramel. Opaque chestnut. Thick foamy off-white head. Initial sour edged berries followed by hoppy bitterness and dark chocolate. Underlying sweetness which is more obvious into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Hmm... the can features images of pine cones. I don't believe I've ever sucked on any so wouldn't know. But I guess it does fit.

30th May 2020 Barleywine #1100. Well at least until the next style fuck-up comes along. An almosy opaque dark brown with a small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. The dark malts are bordering on thin but still bring a pleasing dark chocolate and malt cream vibe that goes well with full on bourbon barrel. Good rich bourbon and a little bourbon soaked fruits. Finishes pretty light with some bourbon spice kicking. A very good BBA BW and pretty drinkable but it lacks a richer malt base, the rounder edges and some of that lovely coconut you get from the very best.

Canned, 330 ml, shared with Miro B and Max. Dark brown with beige head. Roasted, chocolate, licorice, quite sweet, bitter finish. Sticky. Full bodied. Smooth. What it says it is - sweet imperial stout.
