Sample at the brewery taproom. Dark orange color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Malt, caramel and a bit of oak in the nose. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, fruity yeast and vinous oak. The finish is dry with a malt and red wine aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewery taproom. Hazy bronze color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of wheat, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral wheat, fruit, malt and a touch of hops. The finish is citrus and peppery wheat. Decent overall.

500mL capped bottle. Poured into Engelszell glass, which is an interesting shape. Not much head, a thick, mildly murky, thick marmalade color. This isn't fresh b/c I got at at discount at State Line Liquors. But, its held up well. Aroma is still airy but a little aged malt. Light fruits, maybe chestnut - not sure - a Belgian biscuit maltiness. Flavor is still lightly yeast fruit but low ester with some light mineralness and earthiness. Carbonated finish with a effervescent end. Its a nice Belgian ale, not a saison but a nice Belgian Ale.

6 oz pour on draft at Snallygaster 2017 shared. Hazy orange with off-white head. Aromas of malt, citrus. Tastes of malt, citrus, herbs. Medium body with a dry finish.

50cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Expired in June. Pours dark brown with plum reflections. Aroma is cherries, sour. Body is slightly dense with some astringency, especially on the finish, and some stickiness. Taste is definitely sour, with a bit of underlying sweetness. Finish is relatively long and sour.

Bottle drank in NYC - picked up in MA. Vintage 2015 bottle. Decent gusher - lost about 1/3 of the bottle. Pours unclear orange with a big, frothy white head. Nice aroma, some citric elements, leather, moderate funk, grass, melon and tangerine. Light sweet flavour with mellow acidity, some grape, more tangerine, mellow bitterness. Medium bodied with modest carbonation. Finishes with more subtly tangy citrus fruits, faint alcohol, more melon, a little salt, ripe tangerine, background musty funk. Nicely nuanced. Very good overall.

Bottle in NYC - picked up in MA. Pours clear yellow-gold with a tight, creamy white head. Huge aroma of zesty kaffir lime, lemon peel, grass, perfume. Light to medium sweet flavour with some honey drizzled over doughy wheat bread, some crackers, more zesty citrus, lemon rind, oily lime, a little grass. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with further dominant kaffir lime, bread crust, wheat flakes, ripe lemon, hints of honey. Interesting stuff, but really not that drinkable.

Bottle shared in NYC - picked up in MA. Pours clear gold, effervescent, with a small, foamy white head. The aroma has some amiable yeast expression, melon, some strawberry, tangerine, doughy wheat bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with a little musty edge, some old wood, more ripening citrus, yeast, wheat bread. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with some orange peel, a little rindy bitterness, melon, grass, woody dryness, strawberry. Good stuff.

50cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Expired in June 2017. Pours orange-colour, with quickly disappearing white foam. Aroma is fruity, in particular peachy, but not sweet. Some tannic. Body is medium-dense with abundant carbonation, and with quite some astringency in the finish. Taste is vastly sour, maybe some sweetness in the very beginning.
