[Basel 2018] Draft glass @ All Bar One. Amber, creamy tanned head. Nose is pine, syrupy, caramel malt. Malt heavy, biscuit, low sugary, caramel, pine, orange peel. More malty. Crude & bit imperfect but pleasant to drink.

Poursa cloudy yellow color, with a big, rocky head. Aroma is hoppy notes with orange peel and grapefruit, grassy notes and tropical notes of mango and passion fruit, mango and lychee

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, foamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Juicy, tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of passion fruit, pineapple, hints o fmango, orange, papaya. Taste is dry, sweet-ish, juicy, tropical fruity hoppy, notes of passion fruit and pineapple, mineral, oaty basis. Nice.

Tap at All Bar One Basel. Almost glowing reddish-brown with a low, fine head. Nose is hay, manure, old chocolate, soy sauce. Yuck. Burnt soy flavor, lemon, slightly roasty. Super weird and not nice.

Tap at All Bar One Basel. Orange with a touch of haze and a low, fine head. Nose is caramel, orange, stone fruits. More like a regular pale ale than a session ipa. Malty, somewhat crisp flavor with lemony hops and some caramel. Not really to style, and needs more aroma hop.

Tap at Klara, Basel. Pours clear brownish amber with a low beige head. Aroma is clearly hoppy, some tropical fruit and resin and forest floor. Body is light and totally reminiscent of classic US IPAs, but in a lighter version. Grass and forest flavours again, with a decent malt backbone and a forward carbonation. Caramel. Dryish palate, quite refreshing. Would not have expected this, but it works damn well on a warm day. Has the right balance to be enjoyable without turning watery or boring. Good!

Bottle from Drinks of the World Basel. Pours unclear yellow. Aroma is banana and slight clover, also lots of nägeli. More a Hefeweizen, feels like. Body is medium, yeasty and sweet. Some tangerine and more citric flavours, little banane. Rather strong carbonation over some fruit flavours, but less than could be. Good.

Bottle from Drinks of the World Basel. Pours clear golden. Aroma is light citric and grassy hops, fresh and far from a "pale ale". Body is medium, crisp, softly sweet but with enough relief through carbonation. Honey and flowers, a bit artificial though. Sweetish palate. Quite good, even if it doesn't feel like the most harmonic brew.

on tap at basel craft beer messe. pours a hazy amber with a frothy dense head and a nice lacing. aroma of hay, a hint of bread. flavour of malts, hay, citrus zest, wood.
