Very unclear brown beer with a mossy sheen under a small off-white rim. Quite oxydated (well within BBd!), earthy, moss on earth or wet wood. Bitter, very lightly roasted, again quite earthy, but with obvious sweeter cookie malts underneath. Medium bodied; better carbonated than it looks, pretty slick. Pretty run-of-the-mill, and the strange oxydated aroma doesn't make it very... fevery... Txs to Dieuwert for bringing!

Huge beige head, dense, over almost black brown beer. Strong dry straw-hops' nose, a mile out. Some dry liquorice, faintly roasty. Ashy, quite dry at first, but there is a very present maltsweetness underneath, maybe just a tad too... At least medium bodied, quite well carbonated. Bit sweeter than most black IPA's, but pleasing all the same. The nose is spot on. Txs to Dieuwert for bringing!

Half of double test with Kerblei triple Small white rim ; yellow golden beer, not very carbonated. Sharpish nose, grains with some dust and a point of ketone. Slight, bready sweetness, as from old (brown) bread. Finish has walnutpeel, much more bitter than the onset. Feels rather light for body, some weak alcohol. Indeed rather undercarbonated. OK tripel, nothing more. Txs to Dieuwert for bringing!

330ml bottle. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is roasted malt, light sugary saccharine. The flavour is liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, roasty, light ashtray, light fake sugar, light liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not bad at all and rather sessionable.
