“We want to produce beers that are both sophisticated and accessible,” explains the couple. Two years of work were necessary upstream. In June, they installed their equipment, brewing machine and fermenters, in a hangar that they rented in Saint-Guénolé. At the same time, they purchased 6,500 m² of agricultural land in Keradennec, at the entrance to Penmarc’h, to grow hops. Just to make two shots out of one beer. The brewers cultivate ten varieties, including several organic, in their hop farm. A first step before launching a real nursery and establishing a place of choice in a booming market.

Can at home in Hackney - big thanks to the neighbours for sourcing. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, eggshell topping. Light sweet flavour with notes of dried pine, clean citrus peel, sun-baked pale malts, mellow bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Piney-rindy finish, crisp malts, balanced bitterness. Excellent, nice throwback vibes.

Can at home in Hackney - many thanks to the neighbours for picking up in France! Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, eggshell head. Light-medium sweet flavour with nice, lightly sun-kissed bready malts, floral pine, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, floral, a little resin, bread, citrus peel. Very drinkable WC IPA.

5/I/23 - 44cl can @ home, BB: VIII/2022 (2023-31) Thanks to Fre for sharing the can!
Pretty cloudy orange beer, small creamy light yellow head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: floral, a bit soapy, smoky touch, earthy, malty, more floral notes. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sweet, hoppy, a bit resinous, pretty malty, sweet, fruity, some tropical fruits, juicy. Aftertaste: slightly smoky, a bit malty. Not great, but then again it’s 4 months past date, so I’ll cut it some slack in the scores.

Can. Cloudy yellow. Roasted, damp straw. Peat smoke in a fluffy cloud. Vanilla. Pastry. Bonus points for the angry duck in the description and on the artwork. Interesting, but a bit flat and pastry sticky.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Mildly smoky malty and fruity hoppy aroma, hints of wood ashes, lemon, peach. Taste is fruity hoppy and mildly smoky, notes of peach, apricot, some mandarine, lemon, hints of wood ashes in the last third, sweet-ish, biscuity malty basis. Creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, soft, foamy carbonation. Well crafted, superbly balanced, surprisingly light, highly drinkable - wonderful!
