Growing up in the Sussex countryside, surrounded by farmland, the boys gained a great respect for the outdoors, good beer and the British country pub.
All of these things, alongside a growing interest in home-brewing, inspired the three of them to start Three Acre Brewery in the autumn of 2018.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Clear gold with small white head. I can taste the pineapple chunks but at the same time there a toasted malt and almost butterscotch element which I found distracting. Drying, mid-bodied. Not quite balanced for me.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, yeasty, citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, dry, yeasty, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Pelican (Gloucester) on 20th December 2024. Clean pale golden body, white head. Fruity with the Mosaic hop doing it's thing, all a bit subtle and bland though, needed more 'oomph'.

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2024 - Hackney. Pours clear gold with a tight, frothy off-white head; appearance couldn’t be better. Light sweet flavour with notes of crunchy, toasted biscuits, lots of raw and oily hop character, weed, grass, pine. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation; nicely conditioned. Bitter finish, more fresh hops, sun-baked malts. It delivers.

Cask at Beer Merchants Tap, 02/11/24. Golden copper topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is orange zest, caramel, biscuit, bread dough. Taste comprises melon, orange peel, caramel, biscuit, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close punctured with mellow leafy bitterness. Okay cask offering but veering more towards an ESB than an APA.
