Röstiger, stark säuerlicher Antrunk. Diese fügt sich gut in die Malzigkeit ein, überdeckt aber einige Aromen deutlich. Spritzig bei geringer Karbonisierung, die Röstnoten sind nur noch am Rande erkennbar. Spritzig und nett aber vermutlich nicht so gewollt. 9/8/8/8/9/8

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and medium-sized foamy head. Moderately wheaty and slightly grainy malty aroma with mildly notes of banana and phenolic spices such as cloves and nutmeg. Slightly sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Juicy malty taste with notes of overripe fruits, cautious wheat character in the background and phenolic spices towards the mildly sweet and slightly tart finish. Not very convincing. 12.VIII.17

(bottle, as Maxbrauerei Porter, Bierkalender 4/2017, 5.8% abv) Slightly ruby brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Mildly dark malty and earthy aroma with leathery notes and mildly sour berry fruits. Sour and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Slim dark malty start with sourish fruity notes of infection, leaving not much room for a real Porter character, except for some vaguely detectable earthy and leafy dark malty notes far in the background. Disappointing. 30.VI.17

Slight hazy golden with little white head. Aroma is green stuff, leek, some thyme, some old cleaning rag. Taste is dead yeasts, very dry and a bit sour. A bit shallow and watery. Too dry for easy drinkability. Somehow off.

Hell hopfiger Antrunk, geringe Karbonisierung, getreidig. Die Hopfigkeit steigt leicht an, Nuancen von Karamell und Gras. Der Hopfen steht auch im Nachgeschmack in Vordergrund, mild bitter, süffig. Gut! 11/11/11/11/12/11
