Description

Hazy gold with a light beige coat. Orange aroma with coriander seeds and some earth/ cave yeast. Less carbonated mouthfeel than other tripels I’ve had. A little alcohol burn, some yeast and bitterness at the end. Peaches, mango and some mysterious depth. Lots of spice - coriander, clove, juniper and white pepper. Identifiably Leffe. One of the better ones, and a nice Tripel.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass(have had on draft, only a little better). Pours a deep golden color, dense creamy off-white head, nice lacing, and nice body. The taste is a malt, clove, some yeast, some candy sugar, and a hint of spice. The finish is a little dry. This is good beer.

Bottle. An attractive golden coloured pour with a decent fluffy white head. Yeasty aroma. Tastes of spice, fruit, bananas, rather sweet. This was the very first Belgian beer that I really got hooked on about 16 years ago. Thankfully I have progressed from this, pleasant enough all the same.

330ml bottle from my daughter and Costco. Nose of sweet candi sugar, lightly spicy, and caramel. Crystal clear gold with a medium, lightly lacing pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly sweet candi sugar, yeast, and light cloves.

Amber. Rapidly fading beige head. Small bead. Earthy, spicy, cigar box aromas. Lively, yeasty mouthfeel. Dried fruits and tobacco. Rich but not heavy. Long spicy finish. I didn’t notice the alcohol. 4th Leffe I’ve tried recently and easily the best. [4.0] Bottle, 7C. Copper with a coat of beige head. Musty, slightly cheesy aroma with cigar box spices. Light, alive mouthfeel is yeasty and quite bubbly. Taste has more dried than stewed fruits with building but gentle spices. Rich but not all that sweet served at recommended temperature. A lovely beer.

Dark brown. Small but lingering beige head. Aroma of spiced red berries and brown sugar. Fruity sweetness is cut somewhat by some discernible hops. Alcohol is hidden. The finish becomes more interesting as it warms - it’s pruney and a little bitter. Balanced but rather dull.

Red gold, white head. Malt and grass aroma with hints of yeast. Malty and yeasty with a dry and slightly spicy finish. Alcohol remains more prominent than I expected. Solid.
